That's our sweet Miss Rachie Lee...but of course you wouldn't feel good if you scrub with those nasty chemicals dear!
Did you know that your skin is the largest and most absorbant organ on your body? Respectively, whatever you get on your skin gets absorbed into your bodies cells (this includes even temporary things like comet which you later think you can rinse off. By the time you get your little hands over to the sink, you've already absorbed enough chemicals to give a line-backer a headache! And it never all rinses off!)
Of course that is not even to mention the fact that scrubbing with powders not only allows you to get the chemicals from your skin but also the added joy of inhaling it.
Wonderful stuff these modern-day cleaners. And we wonder why over 50% (and rising) of our country has cancer.
My advise? Try Life Tree lifetreeproducts.com and http://www.greenhome.com/products/housekeeping/dish_detergent/106852
However, if you must use a powder for abrasive ...stick with good 'ol Bon Ami. (You can get it at the grocery store or wal-mart...rather bland smelling...but much less toxic!)
I think Seanna is going to share her personal organic cleaning secrets on her blog for you, your friends and all her readers. Or sometime create a web-site to give people help and direction through the maze of organic and healthy living.
How dreadful that sounds dearie! Hmmm, could it possibly be as bad as pouring gasoline underneath a canvas? LOL
I feel much better hon, on the way home we stopped and got a bunch of "essential oils" that are absoulutely marvelous! Still, nothing works better for me than peppermint. I don't know why, but the smell of lavender makes me rather ill. Kress likes the smell very much though. odd.
Yes comet was the "abrasive powder" I inflicted upon my skin:) Oh well
Hmm...in some ways it could be worse... the effects of gasoline inhalation is much more noticable and therefore not usually undertaken by sane persons in their right minds...(with the exception of you deary) however, with cleaners...nobody notices much more than a headache usually and so there are used on a regular basis over years and years.
In the end I think they do much more damage:)
