Hi to all you girls. I wish I could meet all too! Alas, I doubt I would be able too attend no matter how much I wish it :)

You might want to look into reflexology and oh...be sure to use "pure" essential oils. (ones without an extra "carrier" oil in it.) While the ones with carrier oils may have -some- benifit for aromatherepy use, it will have much less in the way of health benifits. Be careful about buying essential oils just anywhere. They're often low grade when sold at stores.

You would want to buy a carrier oil and apply it yourself if it's necessary. (Most of the time it isn't)

I am looking into buying sweet Almond essential oil which is a carrier oil. I have just been applying orange and Lavender without one. LOL.

Rachie Lea, I used Young Living oils on you (specifically lavender and/or peppermint.) Young Living oils are the highest quality and most effective essential oils that I know of on the market. They are 100% pure concentrated oils.

Kressy- Carrier oil is usually only used when making a blend or if the oils used begin to burn on your skin. Otherwise it is better to apply directly. I wouldn't think you would have a problem with Orange and Lavender. Burning is directly related to the concentration of phenol. While orange has some, it doesn't seem to bother me through direct application. Lavender is fairly low in phenol.

Kress,
In order to have a wonderful, party without mishap:

It is important to note that if any of the girls have redness to their skin or burning when applying essential oils than you need to apply v-6 or pure massage oil or in desperation-pure olive oil. I don't know about Crisco but that would be a laugh if it works. You may want to ask the resident expert Seanna about that.

I hope y'all do it Labor Day.
Then I would be there. Too
bad we are a state away, we
don't get to see each other
as much.

ha! I'll keep the crisco in mind. I bought the carrier oils 'cause I am branching out (hurray!) into making my own blends. although I may use the carrier oil with the Orange as it seems to burn my families skin. The lavender of course causes no irritation. Thanks darlin's for your tips! I had a wonderful time today at the Herb store and ended up buying let's see...coconut oil, almond oil, Eucalyptus essent. Tea tree essent. and peppermint oil. Just a starter but I'm workin' on it! I'm doing my homeowork for homemade soap and lotions so I am looking at all the bulk stores online that sell Shea butter, castor oil, cocoa oil, and soap molds. If y'all know of any good resources let me know!

I'll have to post the organic cleaning solutions which I use (and I must add are much better than anything I could get at the store) and use essential oils as disinfectant, on my blog.
