Mighty brave of you to stand in front of a hurricane! LOL.
Once when we were in Utah we stayed in this town called Hurricane (pronounced hurri-kun by the locals there). The town got its name from the first settler there who, when a gust of wind blew strongly through, proclaimed, "a hurricun jes blew through!" Since then Hurricane has been the name of this town in the middle of the desert. This is my favorite story of how a town got its name.
