Hurricanes!

Hurricane Dennis came blowing in Sunday afternoon with heavy winds, and bucket loads of rain. However we are very thankful as we have sustained no serious damage, just a short power outage. A few months ago when Hurricane's Charles, Ivan, and (can't remember) came through, we had our power knocked out for 40 hours and then for 24 hours, a massive and beloved tree uprooted, and a few other trees that just blew away! Cindy came through last week sending a tornado 5 miles away that ripped through the motor speedway causing thousands of dollars. We only suffered from our power being knocked out which, to our girls delight; was another excuse to light the oil lamps! We then gathered on my bed where we told stories and worked on a drawing for a friend of ours. As you can imagine, Georgia looks like Ireland with all the rain that we have received!
