The Tea-We're singing in the Rain!
"It's a lovely day for a Tea isn't it miss Dorothy" I inoccently asked one of my Tea companions. We were seperated into three groups each at a differant table elegantly set by my sister miss Rachel. As we sat sipping our Tea and chatting we nerviously glanced at the upcoming clouds that were rolling in with a speed that concerned us. We quickly finished our three course meal and as I hurried with my cake the first drops of rain splattered on the silver cake platter. We rushed through our dessert just in time as it started pouring! The ladies dashed into the house and thankfully the young men came to our rescue and helped us drag in the dishes, and most importantly the cloth covered dining room chairs. LOL. By the time we had gathered everything in, Rachel and I were soaking wet! But not with standing our dishelved appearances we gathered in the great room to finish off the before planned activities.
Mama read Proverbs 31 to us and Mrs. Morton fallowed with a perfect discussion about Godly womanhood. It was so wonderful to hear our mothers guiding us in the way that we should go! Then to our great delight Miss Seanna sang her "Garments of Praise" song sang to perfection in spite of a very sore throat. We then finished off with a few hymms of praise to the Lord God almighty who had orchestrated the meeting and gathering together of our special friends.
