Our latest additions
Since mama and Daddy's beloved Sparky died last year; they acquired a new dog by the name of Miss Ginger Julie. Having also two male dogs on the premises she was soon 'In that way' and over the memorial weekend she gave birth to three live puppies and one still born. With our many house guests from Idaho, I thought that it would be amusing to give them names that would remind us of our new friends. I named the first one Matthew Dooley,as Matthew introduced an old folk song "Dooley" that we now have memorized. Hayden Burnside came from when we watched "God's and Generals with the Vawser boys from Idaho who are by the way almost as southern as my own little self. Anyways we argued over whether General Burnside (a Northener) was of a noble character' hence the Burnside. Hayden is a towne out on Idaho, I just like the sound of it. Couer d'Alene came from a cute town in also in Idaho that we passed through on our way out west. Alan and I went online today to look up the definition (as it is French) and we found that the town was named after the indigenous tribe of that state. Lastly Butte came from when we proudly took the Idahoians to our beautiful Stone mountain of Georgia (South Georgia hasn't any real mountains) a large piece of Granite of which we are very proud. I guess that it really isn't that grand for they called it a Butte! A Butte or mountain we still enjoy hiking on it whenever we can and watching the laser show on lazy summer evenings.
