The Conference continued-Coffee parties in abundance

For the amount of Coffee that our friends and brother and I drink, we should all just go into business together and buy a coffee plantation!
The Uniting Church and Home conference was a great time for our family to fellowship with the Keens and to get to know the Pendletons better. My sisters and I spent time lounging with the babies outside in the hall chatting with Miss Emily(with coffee in our hands), whilst the guy's exchanged biblical world views and politics upstairs (with coffee in their hands). Daddy spent his time up in the balcony recording the sessions (without coffee, he dislikes it so), at times he could be seen talking to the men during the breaks (who were drinking coffee by the way). The first night, I of course found the kitchen! I seem to be drawn to those particular rooms where you can find me in one of my big hats and colorful aprons. Unfortunately I found the coffee pot empty and the machine was unfamiliar to me as it was one of those nice commercial contraptions. I scrounged around 'till I found some hot chocolate where I then went in search of my brother to offer him some as well. As I peeked around the door upstairs I found him in the midst of an important discussion with Joel Pendleton. I stood there waiting for the chocolate to do it's work. As soon as they got a whiff of it they stared at me in disbelief and asked "Where!" "Would y'all like some refreshments?" I asked as I turned to lead the way. They were after me like a dog chasing a coon! I ran to the kitchen with them in tail and another Pendleton was added to my train as we ran down the hallway.
I made the guy's hot chocolate and they in turn showed me how to run the Coffee machine. From there on out I made coffee every hour and served it up. I have never had so much coffee in one weekend before. LOL

Kress, if you enjoy coffee, even a little bit, you would enjoy Choc. coffee. Uncle Ed and I actually buy choc. coffee beans from Walmart (or other grocer) and grind them (you can do this in the store, as well) and make the best smelling coffee ever!!
Also, another trick? Use your hot choc. mix instead of sugar and creamer in your coffee. It is wonderful!!
AND, lastly, if you really want a treat, with that nice coffee hint, email me and I'll send you the easiest recipe to make Starbucks frappacino which is delectable. Love, Aunt Dianna
