Monday Afternoon
Monday afternoon after the joyous return of our guy's, we ladies served lunch and then headed outside to dance in the barn with the little guy's. They held up gallantly through the Virginia Reel and the Circle waltz that Miss Ivy had taught us. After awhile though, their little feet and hands got to itching so we thanked them and off they ran to take dominion over our yard. We girls danced a little longer and then lounged in the chairs enjoying just being together and the thought that everything was back to normal; our guy's were home!
Before supper, Daddy called after leaving for work and asked me to transcribe the mission trip to New Orleans. I followed Mr. Campana around scribbling as fast as I could as Mr. Lummus and Mr. Campana strove to relate to me their soul awakening trip! I'm going to ask Alan is I may post a few things that he experienced during his trip. 5 pages later Mr. Campana had to leave so we girls gathered around the Campana van taking pictures and sending our love. The Campana family is so dear to us all! Such a sweet family walking in obedience to his will!
For supper we scrounged out all the left overs from the weekend and with the help of the girls and direction of Miss Katie, we set out a nice spread and then rang the bell. Charlie gave grace and we girls gathered outside under the tree where Bethy had arranged the sweetest little table with a pretty table cloth and candles. The Lummus boys had graciously assembled new chairs that Mama had bought and we sat around enjoying our meal together!
