Friday-The Film Festival, and Friday evening party!

Friday morning found Rachie and I cooking as fast as we could before the arrival of the morton family! The sweet dears got up at 3am to drive 3 and a half hours to help us! Without their help we Smithy's would have been lost and swamped with various tasks that they offered to undertake! Cheerio's to the Morton Clan!

After breakfast we girls gathered up the baskets of utensils and packed the large cooler full of food. With the help of Jonny and Sam, two strong helpful lads (and the bigger guy's) we packed up the food and headed out to the church! We girls then set out to straighten up and organize the somewhat nasty kitchen in preparation for lunch. The girls whipped up sandwiches and cut fruit whilst Miss Dorothy and I tried start the coffee maker, stove, tea maker; well, just about nothing would work right! We were rescued by Daddy and Andrew, and then a maintenence guy who prepped me on the general usage of the rather large and helpful appliances! We girls have decided that it is very useful to have restaurante sized appliances when cooking for such a crowd!
After leaking large amounts of gas from the range and various sputterings in the coffee department, we finally had lunch ready! We girls and little boys gathered on the bleachers whilst the adults ate at the round tables that the guy's had arranged.

After lunch, Aunt Niece, Nana, and the Hart family arrived! We girls scurried around cleaning up the kitchen and setting out coffee, Tea, nuts, lemonade, water, and fruit for snacks as the Film Festival started! More families arrived but I'm not sure what went on the the room as I only ever had time to watch one movie. So I am hoping for comments about what happened. LOL. I revolved around my kitchen which to my delight was teeming full of sweet girls who gave up their time and energy to help serve. I want to Thank all the girls for jumping in and helping me out back there! I'm sure that everyone was very thankful!
