Blast to the past
After our relaxing day at the Steele's, Mama asked us if we would like to see where we had lived as tiny children before our move to Puerto Rico. At the end of a country road after a bridge that once flooded causing my Daddy to have to cross in a boat to get to work; Mama pointed out to us a small piece of property nestled amongst the trees. We sat chatting for a while when mama then suggested a trip to the older side of Griffin that we seldom frequent. We passed various old buildings that I had treasured as a child and on our way passed our Akins Feed and Seed store. Having sheep, this has become a building that we are most enjoyably acquainted with. We then traveled to Kroger for the purpose of obtaining a few necessary groceries. I have never in my memory gone into kroger still wet after swimming before. We had taken clothes to put on top of our swim suits but they had become soaked from our little detours. I ran through throwing things into my buggy as fast as possible whilst Mama grabbed some take out chinese next door and then got a movie as the sky threatened to overflow at any second. We arrived home as it started pouring and true to tradition, every time Mama rents a movie (which is very seldom on her part) the power goes out. LOL. It went out 3 times but not for more then a second.
